Spade Technologies Establishes Canadian Headquarters in Manitoba following Investment from SVG Ventures | THRIVE

AI-first dairy software company selects Manitoba as its Canadian base, creating skilled jobs and strengthening the province’s position as an AgTech innovation hub.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba — July 27, 2026 — Spade Technologies, the AI-first software company building the intelligence infrastructure for the dairy industry, today announced that it is establishing its Canadian headquarters in Manitoba with the backing of SVG Ventures | THRIVE, the global agrifood innovation and investment platform.

The company will build an initial Manitoba-based team, positioning the province as the centre of its Canadian operations and a strategic gateway to the broader North American dairy market.

The investment marks a significant milestone in Spade’s Canadian expansion and reflects a shared commitment between Spade, SVG Ventures | THRIVE, and Manitoba’s innovation ecosystem to accelerate agricultural innovation, create high-value jobs, and strengthen Canada’s position as a global leader in AgTech.

Establishing a Long-Term Canadian Presence

Building on its growing momentum in Canada, Spade has chosen Manitoba as the permanent home of its Canadian headquarters.

From Manitoba, the company will lead its Canadian commercial expansion, initially serving dairy producers and processors across the province before expanding nationally. The Manitoba team will also support Spade’s growth throughout the north-central United States, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas, which together represent one of North America’s most significant dairy-producing regions.

“Manitoba is the right home for our Canadian headquarters,” said Scott Woodside, Chief Executive Officer of Spade Technologies. “It sits at the centre of a dairy corridor that stretches across the western provinces and into the north-central United States, and it has an innovation ecosystem built for exactly the kind of work we do. Establishing a permanent presence here and building a local team reflects our long-term commitment to Canada and to growing AgTech capacity in the province. We’re excited to grow alongside Manitoba’s dairy industry and innovation ecosystem.”

Advancing Manitoba’s AgTech Ecosystem

Beyond creating skilled technology and commercial jobs, Spade intends to work closely with Manitoba’s agrifood innovation community.

The company plans to collaborate with the Enterprise Machine Intelligence & Learning Initiative and Innovation Farms to validate its AI-powered dairy intelligence and forecasting technologies under Canadian production conditions. Spade also intends to participate in the EMILI-led AIVA Coalition, supporting the broader adoption of artificial intelligence across agriculture.

“Spade is exactly the type of company our Pioneer Fund was created to support—a world-class team combining deep industry expertise with artificial intelligence to solve meaningful challenges at global scale,” said John Cassidy, Managing Director, Canada, SVG Ventures | THRIVE.

“We’re focused on backing exceptional founders early and helping them build market-leading companies. The continued support of partners such as Farm Credit Canada, our anchor investor, and the Manitoba First Fund enables investments like this—connecting innovative founders with customers, capital, and commercial opportunities while strengthening Canada’s leadership in agricultural innovation.”

Spade joins a growing portfolio of Pioneer Fund companies developing breakthrough technologies across agriculture and food. The investment reflects SVG Ventures | THRIVE’s broader commitment to supporting globally competitive agrifood technology companies and connecting them with the partners, markets, and resources required to scale.
